Satisfactory Power Guide: Generators, Fuel & Water
Every Satisfactory generator at a glance — power output, fuel per minute, and water per minute, straight from the official game data. Use it to pick a power source and size your grid.
| Generator | Power | Primary fuel | Fuel rate | Water |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Biomass Burner | 30 MW | Leaves | 120.00 /min | — |
| Coal-Powered Generator | 75 MW | Coal | 15.00 /min | 45 m³/min |
| Fuel-Powered Generator | 250 MW | Fuel | 20.00 m³/min | — |
| Nuclear Power Plant | 2500 MW | Uranium Fuel Rod | 0.20 /min | 240 m³/min |
Which power source, when?
- Biomass Burner — earliest power, hand-fed; fine before coal, retire it quickly.
- Coal Generator — your first real power. Simple: coal + water, no byproducts. Build in rows sharing a water line.
- Fuel Generator — far more power per building once you have oil. No water needed; Turbofuel pushes output even higher.
- Nuclear Power Plant — 2500 MW each, but needs 240 m³ water/min and produces radioactive waste you must store or reprocess.
Fuel rates are derived from each generator's power and its fuel's energy value (power ÷ energy × 60), and water from the game's water-to-power ratio. Plan exact generator counts with the fuel calculator, total your factory's draw with the power calculator, and see how overclocking changes the bill.
