Points per item vs. points per minute
A high points-per-item value doesn't automatically mean fast coupons. What earns coupons is points per minute = points-per-item × how many you sink per minute. A cheap part you overproduce by the hundreds (like Reinforced Iron Plate or Rotor) often out-earns a handful of expensive end-game items, because you can feed it far faster and it never starves your factory.
The practical play: sink the steady overflow of a mid-tier line rather than building a dedicated end-game sink farm early. Work out the exact points/min for any item and rate in the AWESOME Sink calculator, and plan the overflow line with the production calculator.
